Mount Milligan Copper-Gold Mine, Thompson Creek Metals Company
Allnorth provides multiple services for the Mount Milligan project. Initially, Allnorth supported feasibility studies and managed regulatory permit applications, from simple applications to multi-level permits involving extensive collaboration prior to submission. As the project progressed, Allnorth’s scope of work evolved to include a wide range of additional services, such as survey, layout, and design of roads and a powerline; civil and structural engineering; materials testing; and environmental services.
Allnorth’s responsibilities for this project included:
- Mine and construction permitting, including BC Mines Act permits
- Preparation of a logging plan and an access management plan
- Survey and layout of a 92 km-long powerline
- Survey, layout, and design of a 27 km-long road that included 3 bridges, 3 major culverts
- Design of 8 additional bridges to meet the requirements of a fish stream compensation program
- Topographic survey and layout for earthworks at the project site
- Stream crossing assessments

The Mount Milligan Project is a copper-gold mine project that is owned and operated by Thompson Creek Metals Company. The mine site is located about 155 kilometres northwest of Prince George, British Columbia. The site is accessible by road from both Fort St. James and MacKenzie, BC and is serviced by a 92-kilometre long powerline.

Our experienced team of professional and technical survey staff use Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS, robotic total stations, CADD On Site, and 3D laser scanning to support projects in a variety of industries.
